New Portraits

I am finally done my environmental portraits with Kasey and am pretty pleased with how they turned out compared to my preliminary portraits. Poor girl was freezing, and I felt so bad. I edited these two finals for my digital imaging class. I used the D3 for these, and would still like to try some of the other equipment- interested in testing out the Canons. Anyways...super tired, didn't sleep last night and am running on 4 cups of oh so delicious Dennys coffee and have to flip this vinyl over. Records make me so nostalgic.

Quick update: found an interesting place for a little R&R the other day. I'm not too into watching smashed t.v.'s but I don't mind photographing them, even with my film camera which I finally used since I got here.

Also, I have started another environmental portrait, again with Jessica. The weather wasn't too nice but I ended up getting a few o.k. shots for the preliminary assignment.

July, August, September, Shocktober

Only a couple days left in September... it just seems like it was January a couple of weeks ago. It bothers me how fast time goes by. Rushing back into this year and having more pressure to perfect everything is overwhelming, so to calm myself down I like to do other kinds of art, and it just happens that I have a soft place in my heart for collage.

I mean, black and white, you were always there for me, but I think it's time we both took a break from each other and moved on with our lives. I know, I know...life can't possibly go on with out you, but I think we've drifted into a gray area in this relationship! Don't feel rejected- this isn't good bye. Yes, I've met someone new; please don't be jealous that we are going to be spending the next few months together. I really want things to work out between you and I!

TODAY I took pictures of my friend/bandmate Jamie Bentz for her portfolio for acting agents and the like. First time for an official photo shoot. It was rad.
